Happy New Year!!!
I’ve had a super busy few days (actually, a super busy few weeks…I’m so tired) so I’m a little late to the “year-end recap” party. Luckily I make my own rules and do what I want, so I’m going to do one a few days late. Let’s start the show!
I rang in 2010 sick as a dog in DC. FYI, this was the third year IN A ROW that I had a cold on New Year’s Eve. Grrr.
Birthday month!! I celebrated my 24th birthday and bachelorette party in the same weekend.
I also took shmudoir shmotos, but you can’t see those 😉
Josh accepted a new job in Maryland! We took a trip to Bethesda to check out apartments and familiarize ourselves with our new city.
I also attended my bridal shower where I was spoiled beyond belief.
Josh moved to Maryland and I moved back home with my mom, beginning another 6 weeks of a long distance relationship. Luckily, we did it for two and a half years so it was just like old times.
April was filled with wedding-related tasks and not much else. Bor-ing!
Um, got married!
First, friends came into town and we partied before the big day.
Then I experienced my first pedicure with my beautiful bridesmaids.
Next up we rehearsed and I proceeded to get rip-roaring drunk at my rehearsal dinner.
And finally, we were married 🙂
Oh, we honeymooned in Antigua, too 🙂
I peaced out of Ohio and finally joined Josh in Bethesda!
I started working for Shmoogle (aka the search engine that shall not be named)…
My fabulous sister-in-law cut my unruly hair…
And we made a few friends!
I quit Shmoogle because OMG it was literally sucking the soul from my body, but more importantly we celebrated the engagement of my sister-in-law and her boyfriend (now fiance!)!!
August was incredibly busy!
Claire, her MOH, some of her family, and I went shopping for her wedding dress!
Josh’s (adorable) parents came to visit us in DC.
We took our annual trip to the OBX!
Josh and I went to his 10-year high school reunion! He’s so old.
I went to the Virginia Wine Festival with a few beautiful ladies.
At the end of October we rallied for sanity!
Then miraculously had enough energy to go out for Halloween.
My mom paid us a visit 🙂
Over Thanksgiving we celebrated her 60th birthday. She looks better at 60 than I do at 24. Hate her.
Oh! And I got a job. FINALLY. No pictures of that, unfortunately.
I rounded out the year by working my lil booty off, but managed to take a few weekends off to enjoy time with family and friends.
2010 had some incredible highs with a few not-so-great lows thrown in. All in all, it was an amazing year and one I’ll cherish forever. I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store for me!
